Divide the total sugar into two halves. Put cinnamon, bourbon, eggs, vanilla extract, salt, and nutmeg to one-half of the sugar.
Take a saucepan combine milk and the remaining half of sugar. Also, put in butter cube in this milk. Continue to whisk while boiling.
After boiling whisk the milk mixture with the sugar and egg mixture. Add raisins and apples.
Finally, add the bread cubes and let the mixture stand until the bread gets soaked in it completely.
Stir in a few more raisins and also shower some at the top. Pour the whole mixture into the baking dish after greasing it with a loaf pan.
At 400 degrees, bake the butter mixture for at least 40 minutes.
You can also prepare a sweet cream sauce to pour over your pudding. For this purpose mix the cream and sugar with egg yolks and vanilla in a separate bowl.
Mix until well blended. Boil for 10 minutes in a boiler. Stir constantly.
Strain and let it cool. You can also refrigerate this sauce.
Serve your bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and sweet cream sauce.
