  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts


  • The most basic step is preheating your oven to a suitable temperature. The temperature should be 350 degrees.
  • In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour and the buttermilk with butter by a hand mix or electric mixer until the consistency is soft and fluffy.
  • Then add eggs one by one and blend with mashed bananas and vanilla. Add the baking soda and salt with a layer of flour at the top and the bottom.
  • Mix the nuts in the batter and also make a layer at the top.
  • Grab your baking dish and pour the mixture into it. Put it in the oven and bake for half an hour or more if needed.
  • After that let your bread air cool so that you can take it out from the pan.
  • You can top your banana bread with any kind of dressing you like. It might be whipped cream, chocolate, or more dry fruits, etc to make it attractive.
  • Make slices of your bread and serve!
