Sweet Garlic Pickle Recipe

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 cup garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric
  • 1/6 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1/3 cup oil


  • With a knife, peel the garlic cloves and chop them finely. Then take a frying pan and add coriander seeds, cumin seeds and cook them without oil. Keep them aside once cooked.
  • Then in a deep saucepan, add a splash of oil. Add chopped garlic cloves into it. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • In that time, instead of waiting, grind the roasted seeds into a fine powder in a grinder that their flavors merge and give a united taste.
  • Add this fine powder into the garlic mixture and fry. Now add salt, chili flakes, sugar, and turmeric.
  • At last, add more oil into this mixture and let it burn for 3-5 minutes. Make a mixture of thick consistency.
  • Your pickle is ready. Let it air cool for some time and then store in glass bottles or jars to eat whenever desired with any kind of meal.
